Mavericks Odds: How to bet the Minnesota Timberwolves at Dallas Mavericks
When I wrote the betting preview for the Lakers game, I was torn. On one hand, it is never easy to bet against the team you have spent your whole rooting for since its inaugural season. On the other were all the marbles stacked on the scales for the visitors. Revenge angle for LA, the business end of a back-to-back, and the mounting injuries for Dallas - it all felt like the Lakers would thump Dallas. And that...did not happen. A signature game for Luka Doncic and huge efforts from Hardaway, Exum, Williams, Lively, and others buoyed the Mavs on a night where they had every reason to take one on the chin and chalk it up to circumstances. Bravo, and we move on to this contest against the Wolves.

Minnesota would pose a challenge due to their size and versatility on a night when the Mavs were rested and healthy. The Mavericks will be playing their fourth game in less than a week. While we can hope against reason that it will not matter as a fan, as a bettor - this is either a stay away or bet on the Timberwolves +2 and/or Moneyline.

Take Minnesota. The Mavs are playing great shorthanded basketball - yet it has been at the cost of high minutes for the starters. Doncic expressed his discomfort after the last two games as the injuries to key teammates have required him to play well over 40 minutes in the last three games. Since the calendar flipped over to November, the Timberwolves have only lost two road games. Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable with a lingering hip issue and that is likely to be a game-time decision. Consider holding off if Edwards is not in the lineup. If he is, roll with Minny ML.
