John Mozeliak is the head of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was on the ground floor of Albert's departure in 2011 and brought him back for his majestic 2022. John Mozieliak was a graduate of Colorado-Boulder and transferred back home from the University of Arizona at 23.

John Mozeliak is an unemployed high school pitcher. He meets a pitcher on a blind date and they become friends. John is hired by the Colorado Rockies as a left-handed batting practice pitcher and is good at it. In 1995 he moves to St. Louis and works in the front office. He was put in charge of the amateur draft. It's a ridiculous story. But it's true. The story is not surprising. it makes sense. and it is believable.  It is a preposterous story and the most believable part of his journey. - - -. . - John. Bill DeWitt Sr. was an MLB player and his son Bill Junior took his family money and franchised over 60 Arby's in the early 1980's. Bill Dewitt Jr. later made money from exotic energy investments and became rich.

Nolan Arenado, Paul Goldschmidt and Tommy Edman are the best players I've ever seen.

The Cardinals are in the middle of a difficult season. Nobody knows who's the best starter. Jack Flaherty is finally healthy, but he's only made 8 starts this year. Miles Mikolas is probably the most predictable. Jordan Montgomery's results have been up-and-down. Jose Quintana is one of the league's best pitchers.

Ryan Helsey is the best reliever for the St. Louis Cardinals. He throws 105mph and is comfortable in practically any situation.

Yuan Yepez is expected to get a lot of plate appearances in place of Tyler O'Neil. Yepez has a 111 OPS+ in a little over 250 at bats.

The Cardinals have no clear cut weakness. Their best outfielder is injured and his replacements moonlight on the morning shift at the local butcher shop. Oliver Marmol is beloved by all, but he's inexperienced. Albert Pujols had already done all of this before Oliver.

Nolan and Paul are hitting .225 since 9/1.

Ryan Helsley has only gone back-to-back 8 times this season. He's not going to do that for 3 straight games to kick off the playoffs.

Jose Quintana is the best option for the Cardinals. He's been playing well recently. They lost the home wild card game to the Yankees.

The Cardinals can win the World Series if they play well and have good luck. They need to have a good starting pitching depth, good outfield defense, Tyler O'Neil coming back strong after the Wild Card and Paul DeJong having a breakout October.
