Melbourne Cup 2021: Incentivise draws comparisons to Phar Lap, other greats

Incentivise is aiming to win the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup double on Tuesday. Ethereal was the last horse to do the double in 2001. Incentive has already won a group-1, weight-for-age, mile race in his short career. He was bred and raised in Toowoomba and won the Melbourne Cups in the space of 12 months. He has 57 kilograms of weight for the race. His owner Brae Sokolski believes In Centivis will capture the imagination of the general public. The horse will have to defy the 57 kgs allotted to him by Carpenter.
