Melbourne Cup 2023 ticket up for grabs in the Roy Higgins Quality

Progressive import Goldman is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Roy Higgins (2600m) this Saturday at Flemington.

The time honoured contest has more value to it this year given the winner gets a free ticket into the Melbourne Cup. The market says Goldman will get that ballot exemption given he is a $2.80 favourite despite coming off a midweek win at Warwick Farm.

So Unusual is flying for Team McEvoy and is rock solid on the second line of betting at $4.80, clear of Soukcombe at $5.50. Young Werther has had good early interest, into $6 from a a high of $9.
