Mets fans manifesting signing Padres' Manny Machado in 2024 are delusional

The San Diego Padres have one of the deepest lineups in baseball. They have four superstars at the top of their lineup: Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Xander Bogaerts. The front office has to decide whether to keep them together or to sign them to new contracts. Tati got a $340 million extension, Bagaert is locked in for 11 years, but Machad and Sato's futures are uncertain.

Manny Machado is a free agent. He's a six-time All-Star and the Padres' most valuable player. The Padres were eliminated in the Wild Card Round this year. Steve Cohen will offer Machad a contract. Mets fans think it will convince him to move to New York.
