The Mets signed Tommy Hunter to a minor league deal at the end of April. Hunter was used mainly in middle relief when healthy, but his back flared up and he spent time on the injured list. He was not included in the playoff roster.
Tommy Hunter is a free agent. He is expected to sign a minor league contract with another team. Showalter is familiar with Hunter from their time together with the Orioles.
