Mishriff and other Breeders' Cup hopefuls return this weekend

There are Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races in Ireland this weekend. Mishriff, Saffron Beach and Highfield Princess are among the prospective starters.

Aidan O'Brien has won eight of the 15 editions of Champions Juvenile. Aidan O’Brien's trainee Ryan Moore will ride Auguste Rodin and Tower of London in the 2022 Champions Jockeying. Augusti Rodins finished second in his debut at the Curragh and second at Naas. Tower's dam Rhododendron won multiple Group 1 prizes for O'sBrien.

Mishriff and Vadeni are the favorites in the Irish Champion at Leopardstown this weekend. Ryan Moore is slated to ride Vadani on behalf of Aidan O'Brien. The winner of the race will be announced at 10:45 a.m. EDT. The race is a qualifier to the Breeders' Cup Turf.

Homeless Songs is the favorite to win this Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf qualifier at Leopardstown. Saffron Beach can't be overlooked as she's won several Group 1 prizes over the last two seasons.

Mishriff and other Breeders' Cup hopefuls return this weekend. Race 3: Flying Five (G1, five furlongs, 9:25 a.m. EDT) is a Breeder's Cup Turf Sprint qualifier. The favorite is the 5-year-old mare Highfield Princess. Romantic Proposal and A Case of You are also among the early entrants.

Mishriff and other Breeders' Cup hopefuls return this weekend. Race 4: Moyglare Stud (G1, seven furlongs, 10:00 a.m. EDT) is a Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf qualifier. Meditate is undefeated in four starts at three different tracks.
