The White Sox jumped three spots in the MLB Power Rankings for Week 23. Chicago has won nine of 13 games under acting manager Miguel Cairo.
The Brewers dropped two spots to No. 14 and the Orioles dropped from No 12 to 12. Baltimore lost three of four games to Toronto and two of three to the Red Sox last week.
The Dodgers are on pace for 112 wins this season. They are 100 runs ahead of the Yankees. The Dodgers beat the Padres on Sunday to clinch a postseason berth.
The Houston Astros won their 90th game in their 140th of the season on Sunday. It's the second-fewest games needed to reach 90 wins in franchise history.
The Braves lost to the Mariners on Sunday. They are now 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Mets in the NL East. Since Aug. 9, the Braves are 23-7.
The Mets are ranked No. 4 in the MLB Power Rankings for Week 23. They won their last game against the Marlins 9-3. Francisco Lindor is one home run short of tying Asdrúbal Cabrera for the most homers by a Mets shortstop in a single season.
The Cardinals are running away with the NL Central. Albert Pujols surpassed Alex Rodriguez on Sunday with No. 697. He can become the fourth player in MLB history to reach 700 home runs.
