It’s Friday, which means a loaded slate of Major League Baseball is in store for us. Below are our May 26 MLB best bets including a Rays vs. Dodgers pick and multiple player props to consider.

May 26 MLB bets: Rays ML (-102 or better) vs. Dodgers

The best team in the American League hosts the second-best team in the National League on Friday in the ultimate clash of styles.

The unsuspecting Rays are a ridiculous 24-5 at home despite having the fourth-lowest payroll in the sport, while the Dodgers have the fifth-most expensive roster and are perennial title contenders.

Noah Syndergaard and Jalen Beeks are on the mound, making the pitching matchup less riveting than it could be with any other starters on these teams. That said, we would take the home team.

Tampa’s dominance at home is one thing, and the fact that the Dodgers are eight days into an 10-day road trip is another.

Even though Beeks is just an opener, the Dodgers are tied for last in baseball with a .209 batting average against lefties, and the Rays have a couiple more of them in the bullpen.

Finally, it's worth noting that Syndergaard has struggled in his last two outings after cutting a cut on his right index finger earlier this month, allowing five earned runs over nine innings.

May 26 MLB player props: Air Yordan, Max Scherzer bets for Friday

New York Mets props: Max Scherzer Under 5.5 strikeouts (-155 or better)

Scherzer is regarded as one of the best pitchers of his generation but believe it or not, he has almost never found success at Coors Field across his illustrious career.

In six trips to mile-high, Scherzer has never given up fewer than three earned runs and gives up an average of four.

He also hasn’t had the greatest start to the season, going 3-2 with a 4.01 ERA and just about .93 strikeouts per inning. Scherzer is also averaging just over 4.7 innings per appearance.

Given his struggles at Coors Field and his lower production this season, we don’t expect him to last long enough to get to six punchouts.

Betting Rockies players such as Elias Diaz to pick up RBIs also wouldn’t be a bad idea.

May 26 MLB player props: Yordan Alvarez to record RBI (+125 or better)

The Oakland Athletics are not playing good baseball, to put it in the most respectful way possible. They also have the unfortunate responsibility of taking on the Houston Astros on Friday, feautring Yordan Alvarez in the No. 3 spot.

James Kaprielian is 0-4 with an 8.68 ERA and he has allowed at least three earned runs in over half of his starts.

Alvarez is second in the league with 46 RBI, including five in one game on Monday. He hasn't driven one in over the past two games and by looking at the game log, he's about due for another one.

The Athletics look like they don’t want to be on the field half the time and Alvarez's presence in the middle of the lineup requires plenty of focus with Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman getting on base in front of him.

Alvarez also has a dozen home runs and at +290 could be worth a sprinkle as well.

MLB player props: Joey Meneses to record an RBI (+125 or better)

The Washington Nationals are far from the best team in baseball, but at least they are playing better than many expected them to.

Menses is the Nationals’ leader in RBIs and also knocked in a run in three of his last four games.

He gets to take on Jordan Lyles, who is 0-8 with a 7.15 ERA and is tied for the most home runs allowed in the league.

More adventurous bettors could take the plunge on Menses or another of Washington’s power hitters taking Lyles yard, but we believe the safer option is to take plus money on the RBI.
