Model Joanna Cooper shares inside look as Irish rugby WAGS enjoy day out in Bordeaux

The Irish gang took over the historic port city in southern France.

Joanna Cooper has given the inside scoop on the glamorous lives of Irish rugby WAGs, as she and her fellow girls in green continue to take over France for the rugby World Cup.

The model and wife of superstar scrum half, Conor Murray, took to social media this week to share stunning snaps from her weekend in Bordeaux, as she and her pals painted the town green.

Joanna and Conor were married over the summer in the Algarve, a day she described as the “best of her life.” The Derry woman flew in for Ireland's first match of the competition which took place at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux at the week-end with the boys smashing Romania by 82-8.

Joanna posted photohs alongside fellow WAGs Jessica O’Mahony, Harriet Beirne, Edel Earls, Ellen Ringrose, Laura Sexton, Sophie Marren and Sophie van der Flier.

The glamorous gang sported unique bracelets and rings from jewellery brand Love Beth, which were a present from Jessica O’Mahoney.

Other snaps showed the girls enjoying drinks in the historic port town, which was founded in 300 BC.

The lads have been in training in France for quite a while and it is understood the wives and girlfriends followed over closer to kick off, as Ireland gears up for a serious attempt at gold.

However, they did manage to enjoy some down-time with their other-halves and Joanna shared a snap of her and husband Conor holding hands.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is the 10th edition of the tournament, known as the Webb Ellis Cup.

South Africa are the favourites to win the whole event with odds of 11 / 4. The Springboks are the world number 2 ranked side and can overtake Ireland for the number one spot in the rankings if they beat us in our Pool A clash coming up soon.

Ireland are set for a minimum of four matches at the tournament as we negotiate the pool stage.

The maximum number of games we could play is seven, provided we qualify for either the final or the third place play-off, known as the "Bronze Final".

Next up for us is Tonga at the later kick-off time of 8pm on Saturday, September 16.

We then take on our greatest threat in South Africa on Saturday, September 23 at 8pm before taking on Scotland on October 7 at 8pm.
