Moore Hoping to Be Queen of the King of the Turf
Christy Moore came in second overall in Kentucky Downs' 2021 King of the Turf Betting Challenge. She won the second of three stand-alone tournaments during the meet. Moore's husband, Tim Yohler, was involved in a business meeting during last year's middle tournament. He didn't realize his wife had won until his phone started blowing up. The winner of King will receive the Global Tote King's of Turfing belt and a $10,000 buy-in. The third annual King is held on Sept. 1, 4 and 11. Cash prizes and seats at the National Horseplayers Championship and Breeders’ Cup Betted Challenge are up for grabs.
