ISLA KAI - 1.15 Ayr

ISLA KAI outclassed a similar field when winning under a big weight at Ripon last month and, although nudged back up 4lb to a mark of 93, he remains fairly treated on the pick of his three-year-old form. It's not like the victory hadn't been coming, on the back of placed efforts at Goodwood and Newbury, and he'll be happy enough with a bit of juice still in the ground.

VALSAD - 2.05 Newbury

The penny has dropped with VALSAD and the narrow margin he won by at Southwell recently means he's only gone up another 4lb. That victory came on the back of a neck second here at Newbury and he looks highly likely to cope well with the testing conditions and extra yardage on offer on Saturday.

MISTER SKETCH - 3.15 Newbury

MISTER SKETCH is built to relish soft ground and it was hard not to be impressed by his nine and a half-length novice victory at Salisbury last month. The bare form isn't anything out of the ordinary but he cut quite the figure that day and is entitled to carry on improving with experience. The Mill Reef is a big step up in class but it's not a strong edition of the race and he looks up to the job already.

ORAZIO - 3.35 Ayr

ORAZIO retains Group-class potential and looks to have the perfect ground to show his true form. Seemingly unsuited by the good to firm going when sent off favourite for the Wokingham at Royal Ascot, any horse can be excused a no-show in the awful conditions at Goodwood when last seen and he's had a nice break since then. He looked a class act with handicap wins at Newmarket and Ascot earlier in the year and could be ideally suited to how this race typically pans out.
