The Houston Astros beat Seattle Mariners in three games to advance to the ALCS. They will play the New York Yankees in the next eight days. The starting pitchers for both teams are Justin Verlander and Jameson Taillon. The Yankees beat Cleveland in their ALDS Game 5 Tuesday afternoon to progress to ALCs. It's the third head-to-head in ACLS since 2017. This is the 6th straight appearance for the Astros. Houston won the 2017 World Series. New Yorkers won their Wild Card game at Yankee Stadium in 2015. Their starting pitcher is James on Taillon. He was a first-round pick by the Pirates in June 2010.

Astros advance if they keep winning and Altuve gets his stroke back.
