‘My last’: Luka Modric admits Qatar will be Croatia star’s final World Cup

Luka Modric will turn 38 before Euro 2024. He has represented Croatia for the past 16 years. Modic has won 154 caps and scored 23 goals. Croatia lost the 2018 World Cup final to France. The 37-year-old won the Golden Ball and the Ballon d'Or for his performances.

Luka Modric will captain Croatia at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. FIFA has drawn Vatreni beside Morocco, Canada and Belgium in Group F. The matches will be played on November 23, 27 and December 1. It will also be the 37th birthday of Modic. He is aware that he is of a certain age and it will probably be his last World cup.

Modric needs to play at least once in Qatar to have a chance to make it to four World Cups in his career. Croatia captain first appeared on the global stage in 2006 with two group stage appearances in Germany and three times in the first round at Brazil 2014.
