NASCAR at Phoenix: Betting pioneer reveals 2023 Cup Series Championship Race picks

The NASCAR Cup Series title is on the line Sunday in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway. Ryan Blaney has earned two victories in the past five races, including last week at Martinsville, to earn his Championship 4 berth. He will be joined by Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and William Byron in the race for the title at Phoenix.

The green flag is set to drop at 3 p.m. ET, and Larson is the +170 favorite in the latest 2023 Cup Series Championship Race odds. Blaney is the +280 second choice, followed by Byron (+325) and Bell (+450). Before you make any 2023 NASCAR at Phoenix picks, you NEED to see what SportsLine's Micah Roberts has to say. A former Vegas bookmaker, Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting and now hands out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine.

Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Hamlin, won the HighPoint.com 400 on July 23 at +500. He also predicted Truex's victory at +650 in the Crayon 301 the previous week and Ross Chastain's triumph at +1000 in the Ally 400 in June. In addition, Roberts correctly called Larson's win at +650 in the NASCAR All-Star Race in May and nailed the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix winner in March by hitting Reddick's victory at +1000.

In addition, the expert correctly predicted Chase Elliott to win the YellaWood 500 at +1200 last October and the Jockey Made in America 250 in 2021, nailed the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner by hitting Larson's victory at +550 and was on point by targeting Elliott as the winner of the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at +160 the previous week. Anyone who has followed his picks has cashed ticket after ticket.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field for Sunday's Cup Series Championship Race. We can tell you that Roberts is strongly fading Blaney, the second favorite, leaving him out of his top 10 altogether. Blaney hasn't fared well on similar tracks at Richmond and New Hampshire, so Roberts is looking for several drivers to fare better in Sunday's race.

Instead, Roberts is high on a longshot to win at a "nice price," with the title contenders not holding any horsepower advantage. This driver has a strong history on similar tracks, and oddsmakers seem to be unaware that it's an even playing field. Anyone who backs this play could hit it BIG! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before making any picks.
