Denny Hamlin is a driver and owner of a racing team. Dale Earnhardt Sr. owned two racing teams. He was involved in a fatal accident in 2001. The issue of his conflict of interest was lost in the coverage of The Intimidator's death.   The gambling aspect of Hamlins' business is also a concern. It's possible that the Vegas oddsmakers might change their mind about betting on NASCAR. There is no reason to believe Hamins would do anything shady.
