Native Trail and the resurgence of Charlie Appleby and Godolphin

Charlie Appleby saddled his third winner from the last four editions of the Craven Stakes. Native Trail is the favourite for the 2000 Guineas. His stablemate Coroebus is also going for a race. Appley's 2021 Cravent winner Master of The Seas went down by a short head in the2000 Guines. Masar, Godolphin's first Craved winner, finished third behind Saxon Warrior. Maser was trained by Saeed bin Suroor and won the Derby in his own colours. Mahmood Al Zarooni was installed at Moulton Paddocks in 2010.

Appleby took over the licence at Moulton Paddocks after the Godolphin operation was in decline. He has already had success with his first runners, including two-year-old filly Expressly, Cap O'Rushes, Outstrip and Charming Thought. God Dolphin had struggled for continuity with its riding arrangements after Frankie Dettori's departure. Buick and Doyle have been instrumental in the revival. They were appointed as retained jockeys. The appointment of Buck and James Doyle has given more stability to God dolphin's riding arrangement.

Appleby sent 151 winners in Britain in 2015. Godolphin finished above bin Suroor in the trainers' championship for the first time. Appleby has been the main driver of God Dolphin's revival. Prince Bishop gave bin suro or another Dubai World Cup winner in2015. Thunder Snow has two wins in 2018 and 2019. Coolmore is dominant. Aidan O'Brien was champion trainer for seventh time in 2017. John Ferguson was appointed as God's chief executive after binSuroors outburst.

He will also have an 80% strike rate in that region. The trainer will be 50 per cent successful in America in 2021. His best runner will probably be Ghaiyyath. Ghayyyat won the Coronation Cup, Eclipse and Juddmonte International in 2020.

Dubawi is Godolphin's flagship stallion. He has sired three winners at last year's Breeders’ Cup and last season's British Champions Sprint winner Creative Force. Dubawi also sires two winners of the same race himself, Monterosso and Prince Bishop. God Dolphin bought Line of Duty for 400,000 guineas as a yearling from Dubawi. His half-brother Secret State came second in Wood Ditton earlier this week. New London booked his place in a Derby trial. He will have Coroebus running for him in the 2000 Guinea.
