NBA best bets today (Predictions for Buddy Hield, Kings-Mavericks and more)

Yesterday’s NBA best bets were the definition of middling, as I went 3-3-1, keeping our season record relatively the same.

Still, there are several games on Wednesday’s slate, and a player prop that I think we can take advantage of because of certain players sitting out.

Let’s dive into my three best bets for April 5:

NBA best bets record to date

NBA best bets today

  • Washington Wizards +11.5 (-105) vs. Atlanta Hawks
  • Sacramento Kings +6 (-105) vs. Dallas Mavericks
  • Buddy Hield OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made (+110)

Washington Wizards +11.5 (-105) vs. Atlanta Hawks

I like the Washington Wizards to cover in this spot.

Washington has covered in two straight games, and the team is 9-6 ATS on the second night of a back-to-back this season while the Atlanta Hawks are just 4-7-1 ATS in that spot.

Atlanta has also struggled as a home favorite this season, going 14-18 against the spread.

The Hawks have been an up-and-down team all season, so after a commanding win against Chicago on Tuesday, I’d prefer not to lay double-digits with them tonight.

Sacramento Kings +6 (-105) vs. Dallas Mavericks

This is an interesting line, as it appears the Sacramento Kings aren’t planning to sit anyone with the No. 2 seed still in reach on Wednesday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been downright awful as of late, falling out of the play-in tournament field with just three games to play. Dallas needs a win tonight, but I don’t think that justifies this line.

The Mavericks are just 10-20-2 ATS as home favorites, and the Kings are playing some good basketball, winning big over the New Orleans Pelicans last night.

I’ll gladly take the points here with Dallas imploding late in the season.

Buddy Hield OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made (+110)

Buddy Hield is one of the few starters playing for the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, and he’s destroyed the New York Knicks this season.

Hield has made 5-of-10 and 7-of-15 shots from beyond the arc in his two games against the Knicks, and he should see plenty of shots with Tyrese Haliburton out tonight.

Over his last eight games, Hield has made three or more shots from deep in five of them. The Knicks struggle on defense stopping the 3-ball, allowing 13 per game which is 25th in the NBA.

Hield should make it rain in Indiana.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
