NBA division winner best bets: Thunder hold edge over Nuggets for now

It’s March and the NBA season is approaching it’s closing stretch, with less than two months to go before the playoff field is set. With teams hopefully rounding into peak form as they jockey for position, it’s a good time to take a look at where each division race stands.

That’s right, division races. And no, the NFL season isn’t back already. We’re looking at NBA division races. They may not matter to the average fan, but they absolutely carry weight in the world of betting. And as of today, three of the divisions still have odds worth betting.

I won’t be touching the the Southeast and Pacific divisions, where I like the favored Miami Heat (-225) and Los Angeles Clippers (-2500), but not at those odds. And the Atlantic division is off the board, because the Boston Celtics are running away with it. That leaves the Southwest, Central and Northwest for us to sort out.
