The Golden State Warriors are coming off a tough overtime loss on Thursday to the Boston Celtics. Now on the second side of a back-to-back, the Warriors are resting most of their starters on Friday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, are coming off of a disappointing road loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. Both teams will try to get back on track with a win Friday in what should be an exciting game.

Spread, Moneyline, Total: Warriors vs. Cavaliers

The Warriors have turned their season around after a disastrous opening month. The Cavaliers, meanwhile, look poised to secure their first playoff berth without LeBron James since 1998.

Led by Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, Golden State’s offense is still potent. The defense, however, has been inconsistent and often lacks the athleticism to match up with opponents.

Meanwhile, Cleveland keeps chugging along despite injuries to Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell. The high-scoring backcourt has meshed well this season, weaponizing their ability to drive and shoot from multiple spots on the court to create openings for their teammates.

While Garland and Mitchell anchor the offense, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen have excelled on defense. The two big men use their length well to wall off the paint and challenge shots, forcing opponents to rely on lower-percentage looks from the perimeter.

With Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins all sitting for Golden State, Cleveland should cover the double-digit spread. There’s likely no value on the moneyline. Thus, we prefer the under with so many of the Warriors’ big guns taking a seat.

Player Prop Bets: Warriors vs. Cavaliers

  • Kevon Looney to Score First Basket (+1200)

Looney will likely re-enter the starting lineup with so many starters sitting for Golden State. The Warriors love to attack the paint and dump a pass down to Looney to finish, making him a playable bet to kick off the game with a bucket.

  • Darius Garland to Score 35+ Points (+650)

Garland is an explosive scorer with a feathery touch. With Mitchell sidelined by a groin injury, the scoring and playmaking burden falls on Garland. The Warriors struggle with quick guards like Garland, so he could be due for a high-scoring game.

Same-Game Parlay

same-game parlay allows a bettor to combine multiple wagers from the same game into a single bet with longer odds. Here’s a super long-shot SGP that we think could be worth a flier (basically equivalent to a lottery ticket) for entertainment purposes:

  • Evan Mobley to Record 14+ Rebounds (+650)
  • Jarrett Allen to Score 20+ Points (+310)
  • Darius Garland to Make 5+ Three-Pointers (+500)
  • Winning Margin: Cavaliers 1-10 Points (+200)

The first leg of the parlay is for Mobley to grab at least 14 rebounds. With Green and Wiggins resting tonight for the Warriors, Mobley will have a much easier time controlling the glass against Jonathan Kuminga and Looney.

The second leg of the parlay hinges on Allen scoring at least 20 points. With no Mitchell, he’ll be tasked with scoring more and should be able to get lots of easy buckets against Golden State’s depleted lineup.

The third leg of the parlay is for Garland to make at least five three-pointers. The only chance the Warriors have tonight is if Poole goes on a scoring barrage. However, Garland is equipped to match Poole’s firepower with his lethal scoring ability from downtown.

The final leg of the parlay is for the Cavaliers to win by 1-10 points. With Golden State resting so many starters, this could be a trap game for Cleveland. We expect the Cavs to win, but it should be close.

This parlay has +40711 odds, so a winning $100 wager would return a whopping $40,711 in profit along with your original bet. This wager is more than likely not going to hit, but we have a theory for why it’s possible.
