NBA Odds: Lakers-Heat prediction, odds and pick

The Los Angeles Lakers (14-20) visit the Miami Heat (17-17) on Wednesday night at 7:40 pm ET. Los Los Angles has lost four of their last five games and dropped to 13th place in the Western Conference. Miami has won two of its last three games but is still in eighth place. Last season they split the series 1-1 with each team defending their home court.

Lakers beat Orlando last night. Thomas Bryant played well. Russell Westbrook had a triple-double. Lakers have been struggling since Anthony Davis went down with an injury. They can cover the spread tonight. The Lakers are expected to win. Miami is a better team than Orlando. Los Angeles is expected not to rebound well, which will help the Lakers. Russ scored 15 points on 6-11 shooting and dished out 13 assists and pulled down 13 rebounds last time.

Miami Heat are coming off a big home win over the Timberwolves. They host the Los Angeles Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are both questionable. Miami won without them against Minnesota on Monday night. Five players scored in double figures in their last game. Orlando Robinson played well in the game, scoring 15 points and pulling down nine rebounds. The Lakers are weak down low with Anthony Davis injured.

After LA's big win last night, I like them to keep things close against Miami. 17 of Miami's 34 games have been decided by five points or less.
