NBA parlay picks Dec. 25: Bet the Celtics and Nuggets to win on Christmas Day

After a day without games, the NBA returns on Christmas Day with an action-packed five-game slate.

The pregame narrative: The Boston Celtics just decimated two of the West's best and I'm expecting them to keep things rolling against the struggling Los Angeles Lakers. On top of that, the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers are both strong moneyline plays.

Here are some NBA parlay picks for December 25.

NBA oddsas of 10:11 a.m. on 12/24/2023.

NBA parlay picks

Parlay: Celtics moneyline + Nuggets moneyline + 76ers moneyline (+347)

Celtics moneyline (-143): After winning five straight games at home the Celtics began a four-game West-coast road trip with a tough overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors.

But Boston wasted no time getting right with back-to-back blowout victories over the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers.

The Celtics scored 144 and 145 points in those games and are now averaging 126.3 PPG this month (second-best in NBA).

Los Angeles, meanwhile, is just 5-5 in December while averaging 116.5 points. The Lakers have dropped four of their past five games and it's hard to imagine them steadying the ship against a Celtics team firing on all cylinders.

Other picks

Nuggets moneyline (-240): Denver at home is a cheat code. The Nuggets are 11-2 at Ball Arena this season and are 55-10 since the beginning of the 2022-23 season (playoffs included).

Maybe its the altitude, but it's more likely Denver is just a really, really good team. The Nuggets have Jamal Murray back in the lineup and they're 13-4 when he suits up.

The Warriors have won five straight games but none are that impressive outside of their victory over the Celtics. Golden State has a 6-8 road record this year and has struggled against Denver lately.

The Nuggets have won seven of their last eight games against the Warriors.

76ers moneyline (-118): Betting against Miami at home is tough but Philadelphia is the best road team in basketball.

The 76ers are 8-4 away from Wells Fargo Center and have a +8.7 road net rating (best in NBA). For context, the Minnesota Timberwolves have a 10-5 road record and a +1.9 road net rating (sixth-best in NBA).

Philadelphia has also won seven of its past eight games heading into this one.
