NBA parlay picks Dec. 31: Bet on the Celtics to rout the Spurs as part of a +357 bet

Two moneyline bets and a hefty road favourite make up the last NBA parlay pick of 2023.

The pregame narrative: The Boston Celtics take on a historically bad San Antonio Spurs team and I'm expecting the former to win in a landslide. Elsewhere, the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies are both good bets to win at home.

Here are some NBA parlay picks for December 31.

NBA oddsas of 11:46 a.m. on 12/31/2023.

NBA parlay picks

Parlay: Celtics -13.5 + Pelicans moneyline + Grizzlies moneyline (+357)

Celtics -13.5 (-122): This is a massive number but Boston should cover it with ease. Running the risk of being reductive, the Celtics are one of the best teams in the league while the Spurs are one of the worst.

Boston is 25-6 with the second-best net rating (+9.7) in the NBA and San Antonio is 5-26 with the worst (-11.1). The Spurs are also 12-19 ATS which is the third-worst mark in the league.

The Celtics come into this game having won 10 of their past 11 games, covering the spread in seven of those contests.

Outside of Jrue Holiday (questionable, elbow sprain), Boston carries no injury designations into this game. This should be a blowout.

Other picks

Pelicans moneyline (-305): Last night the Los Angeles Lakers lost a 108-106 thriller to the Timberwolves in Minnesota on LeBron James' birthday.

I'm happy to fade that squad on the second leg of a back-to-back against a Pelicans team which is 10-7 at home this season.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see James or Anthony Davis sit this contest out for rest reasons, but even if they play, the Lakers are a horrible 6-12 on the road this season and are 1-5 on no rest.

Grizzlies moneyline (-113): It turns out having a superstar talent suspended for 25 games can be a big problem. Memphis is 4-1 this season when Ja Morant is in the lineup and is 6-20 when he's not.

The Grizzlies will have the point guard's services tonight and should be able to handle the Sacramento Kings at home.

Sacramento has lost three of its past five games and is a mediocre 7-7 on the road this season.
