NBA parlay picks March 29: Back the Knicks and Grizzlies to win

There are 20 NBA teams in action leaving no shortage of options for Wednesday’s parlay.

The pregame narrative: The Miami Heat are struggling and we’re fading them on the second leg of a back-to-back. The Memphis Grizzlies are unstoppable at FedExForum and the Oklahoma City Thunder are in good shape to cover an alternate spread against the tanking Detroit Pistons.

NBA odds as of 11:11 a.m. ET on 03/29/2023.

NBA parlay picks

Parlay: Knicks ML + Grizzlies ML + Thunder -8.5 + (+282)

Knicks ML (-195): The New York Knicks will host a Miami team that’s just treading water right now.

The Heat have lost two straight games, are in danger of falling into the play-in and are an unimpressive 15-22 away from home this season.

Miami fell 106-92 to the Toronto Raptors last night, though Jimmy Butler did not play. It’s unclear if the Heat’s top scorer will be in the lineup tonight but we’re looking to fade them regardless.

Erik Spoelstra’s squad has the worst-scoring offence in basketball (108.9 points per game) and the Knicks have won eight of their last 10 home games.

Other parlay legs

Grizzlies ML (-177): This pick isn’t rocket science. Memphis is the best home team in the NBA and its opponents — the Los Angeles Clippers — will be shorthanded.

The Grizzlies are 33-5 at FedExForum and own the best home net rating (11.1) as a result. They played last night and beat the Orlando Magic but we’re not worried about fatigue. Memphis is 6-4 outright on the second leg of a back-to-back this season.

The Clippers are a decent road team (19-18) but they’ll be without Paul George. Los Angeles is 8-12 when he’s sidelined this season, averaging just 109.8 points per game.

Thunder -8.5 (-167): The Thunder have exceeded expectations this season and currently hold the final play-in spot in the Western Conference.

That’s largely thanks to a stellar 22-16 home record. But OKC doesn’t just win at home, it covers. Mark Daigneault’s team owns a league-best 13-6 ATS record as a home favourite.

The Pistons aren’t a tough opponent, either. They’re actively tanking, own a 7-29 road record and have lost six straight games by nine-plus points.

We’re confident the Thunder can cover the assigned 11.5-point spread but are buying three points just to be safe.
