NBA picks: Bucks vs. Spurs prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Thursday, Jan. 4

Everyone, including Middleton, is ready to go for the Bucks on the second night of a back-to-back set. They may all be available but keep in mind they might not play their usual minutes depending on the game script. The Bucks are now 10.5-point favorites and the total has gone up to 248.5. I’ll take Bucks -10.5 as the ATS pick and the over on the total knowing everyone is good to go for Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Bucks (24-10) hope to snap a two-game losing streak when they take the floor on the second night of a back-to-back set against the San Antonio Spurs (5-28). The Spurs have not been able to have much success at all this season despite the presence of top pick Victor Wembanyama, sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference. San Antonio is currently on a three-game losing streak. The Bucks won the first meeting between these teams this season 132-119.

We’ll see how the Bucks handle Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and Khris Milddleton on the second night of a back-to-back set at 2 p.m. ET officially. Middleton is the most likely to sit this game. For the Spurs, Zach Collins is out and Malaki Branham is doubtful.

The Bucks are 9-point favorites according to DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total coming in at 247.5. Milwaukee is -410 on the moneyline while San Antonio is +320.

Bucks vs. Spurs, 7:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Bucks -9

This is a nationally televised contest as part of TNT’s doubleheader, which means one of Antetokounmpo or Lillard will be in the lineup per league rules. That’s enough for the Bucks to overwhelm this Spurs squad. San Antonio has been a disaster on both ends of the floor as the team tries to adapt its style around Wembanyama.

Milwaukee is 3-1 ATS on no rest this season, and 8-2 ATS with a rest disadvantage. On the flip side, the Spurs are 3-4 ATS with a rest advantage. Take the Bucks to win and cover tonight.

Over/Under: Over 247.5

These are two of the most over-friendly teams in the NBA this season. The Bucks are 22-12 to the over, while the Spurs are 21-12. The last time these teams met, they went over this line. As long as Milwaukee’s stars suit up, I like the over to hit once again in this game.
