NBA picks: Magic vs. Pacers prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Saturday, Dec. 23

Both Haliburton and Smith are in for the Pacers. Indiana is now a 3-point favorite and the total is 245. I still like Orlando +3 and the over on the total.

Two playoff hopefuls from the Eastern Conference will face off when the Orlando Magic (16-11) and Indiana Pacers (14-13) will meet Saturday evening. The Magic sit near the top of the conference but are on a four-game losing streak, while the Pacers hope to create some separation on the right side of .500. These teams met once earlier this season, with Orlando winning 128-116.

Joe Ingles and Jalen Suggs are questionable for the Magic. Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton is questionable for Indiana with an ankle sprain. Jalen Smith is also questionable.

The Pacers are 2-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total sitting at 242.5. Indiana is -122 on the moneyline while Orlando is +102.

Magic vs. Pacers, 7 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Magic +2

The lines suggest Haliburton is trending towards playing, but Orlando is still the side to back here. The Magic are 10-7 ATS as the underdog this season, and have just gotten through a brutal stretch with two games against the Celtics, one against the Heat and one against the Bucks. The Pacers have lost five of their last six games, and haven’t covered in any of those setbacks.

Indiana is 5-5 ATS as the home favorite this season, which is not enough of an advantage to take the Pacers here. I like the Magic to get the win Saturday and snap their losing skid.

Over/Under: Over 242.5

Indiana is the most over-friendly team in the league with a 20-7-1 mark to overs. Orlando is near the bottom of the league when it comes to overs, but is still respectable at 13-13-1. The Pacers are 11-3 to the over at home this season, and the last meeting between these teams went over this number. I like the over to hit once again in this contest.
