NBA picks: Mavericks-Warriors pick, prediction, odds, spread, injury report for Saturday

Saturday’s NBA slate will feature the Dallas Mavericks heading west to San Francisco to battle the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Dallas (18-14) has dropped two straight games entering this contest and was last bested in a 118-110 loss to the Timberwolves on Thursday. The Mavs were without Luka Doncic in the contest and were unable to overcome a 44-point night from Anthony Edwards. Meanwhile, Golden State (15-16) has also dropped two straight and it was last taken down by the Heat in a 114-102 loss on Thursday. The Warriors shot just 42% from the field in the setback as Steph Curry could only muster up 13 points in the contest.

On the injury front, Luka Doncic (quad) is listed as questionable for the Mavericks while Kyrie Irving (heel) is doubtful. For the Warriors, Kevon Looney (illness) is listed as questionable while Draymond Green is still serving his indefinite suspension by the league.

Golden State enters the game as a 4.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 242. The Warriors are listed as a -192 moneyline favorite, making the Mavericks a +160 underdog.

Mavericks vs. Warriors, 8:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Mavericks +4.5

Golden State has been underwhelming and are 4-9 against the spread as a home underdog this season. The Mavericks managed to keep things relatively close even without Doncic in the lineup on Thursday and I think they will come away with the outright win this evening.

Over/Under: Over 242

Both teams have been middling on the defensive side of the ball as of late and both have been yielding around 120 ppg in their last 10 outings. Golden State should put forth a better effort on offense then it did against Miami on Thursday and I think that will be what triggers the over this evening.
