NBA Player Props, Bets, and Predictions for January 7, 2023

It’s the first NBA Sunday of 2024, and we have been gifted a nine-game slate. From my research, I have three NBA player props in the vault that we will dive into. Based on trends and favorable matchups, these props should provide value and good cover probability. Let’s start the first weekend of the year with a few victories.

NBA Player Props, Bets, and Predictions for January 7, 2023

Anthony Edwards Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists (-130)

Our first NBA player prop comes from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards will face the Dallas Mavericks, the NBA’s fourth-worst team in allowing rebounds to the shooting guard position (7.0). The Mavericks also give up the 12th-most assists per game to the same position at 5.5. In his last 10 games, Edwards covered this line in a five-game stretch, including in a game against Dallas. He has cleared this line in five of his last seven away games. The eye test reveals the Mavericks have trouble guarding quick and athletic guards, and Anthony is one of the most athletically elite guards in the league.

James Harden Over 4.5 Rebounds (-130)

Our second NBA player prop hails from the City of Angels. Since acquiring James Harden, the Los Angeles Clippers have amassed a record of 19-10. This record includes a season-high win streak of nine and wins in 14 of their last 16 games. Since transitioning to the West Coast, James has averaged right above this line at 4.7 rebounds per game. The Los Angeles Lakers give up the 11th-most rebounds per game in the NBA to the point guard position (6.4). “The Beard” has covered this line in eight out of his last 10 games versus the Lakers. As the Clippers have grown more competitive with the Lakers in the last few years, this L.A. rivalry has become more interesting. All the stars will be ready for the game on the court, and all the stars watching courtside will be ready with popcorn waiting and flashing cameras.

Stephen Curry Under 30.5 Points (+100)

Our third NBA player prop comes from none other than the one nicknamed “The Chef.” Taking the under on points for the greatest shooter of all time is a risky call, but hear me out. Stephen Curry has failed to cover this line in five out of his last eight games against the Toronto Raptors. Also, the Raptors are the 15-worst team in the NBA allowing points to the point guard position (24.4). He’s only cleared this line in eight out of 21 career matches against Toronto, averaging 27 points per game. Curry has only covered this line in two out of his last 10 games and one out of his last seven home games.

Remember to always keep an eye on moving lines and changing odds on these NBA player props. Please always bet responsibly, and good luck! Leave us a comment on how you view the outcomes of these games or what props you may like.
