NBA Rookie of the Year Favourites for 2022/23
The start of the 2022/23 NBA season is less than two months away. Several leading bookmakers are offering odds on who will be the NBA Rookie of The Year.
Paolo Banchero is the bookies' favourite to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Chet Holmgren is injured and he will miss his rookie season with the Orlando Magic. Banchro was drafted number one overall by the Magic earlier this year. He performed well for Duke Blue Devils during the 2022 NCAA tournament, helping them reach the Final Four.
Keegan Murray was selected fourth in the NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. Murray is a good three-point shooter and he averaged 39.8% from three for the Iowa Hawkeyes last season.
Jabari Smith Jr was drafted by Houston Rockets in the 2022 NBA draft. He was the third overall pick. Smith played in Las Vegas Summer League tournament and averaged 14.4 points, 9. 4 rebounds and 1.8 steals.
Jaden Ivey is a 20-year-old rookie playing for the Detroit Pistons. He has been compared to Russell Westbrook. The Pistons have progressed to the play-offs just twice in the last 13 seasons.
