Cameron Johnson and P.J. Washington are restricted free agents next summer. They are negotiating contract extensions with the Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Hornets. Johnson recently underwent surgery for a torn meniscus and is expected to miss 1-2 months of action. Charlotte was interested in signing Washington to a four-year, $50-52 million contract. The offer was similar to the one previously signed by Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. Collin Sexton signed a contract extension with Utah Jazz last year.
