Nenagh to the fore in Ireland’s Hockey awakening
Nenagh Hockey Club is in its infancy but is already attracting a lot of players. Many of them are now coaching the new generation. The club has a competitive under-16 girls' team, two under 14 outfits and children's sides from under 12 down. Colin Stanley enjoyed a successful career playing with Dublin club Corinthians in the Leinster Senior League. He believes hockey is a great sport for children. He also believes it can be useful for those who have fallen out of love with other mainstream sports. Nengh is eclectic and so are its players, as every club should be. It is home to many different athletes and individuals.
