Nervous Witness won the Class Three Shanghai Handicap (1,000m) at Sha Tin on Friday afternoon. It was trainer David Hayes' 500th Hong Kong win. Lord Thunder also won a 1,200m race at Chengdu Handiap. Carroll Street finished 13 lengths last. Blake Shinn returned to the winner’s list for the first time since September 12. He won by four lengths from E Brother. The horse was trained by Hayes.
