Nets vs. Cavaliers same-game parlay predictions Jan. 11: Bet on Cleveland, Mitchell at +335 in Paris

The Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers tip off this year's NBA Paris game at 2:00 p.m. ET.

The pregame narrative: Brooklyn has dropped six of its past seven games and is worth fading on the moneyline. Cleveland, meanwhile, has been on a heater thanks to Donovan Mitchell's solid play. I'm taking the over on his point total and am also fading Nic Claxton on the glass.

NBA oddsas of 9:35 a.m. on 01/11/2024.

Nets vs. Cavaliers same-game parlay

Parlay: Cavaliers moneyline + Mitchell over 27.5 points + Claxton under 10.5 rebouds (+335)

Cavaliers moneyline (-157): The Cavaliers enter this contest having won eight of their past 11 games — including each of the last three.

Sure, their current win streak includes victories over the Washington Wizards (twice) and San Antonio Spurs, but it's nice to see the Cavs enter this contest with some momentum.

The same can't be said for the Nets, who are plummeting down the Eastern Conference standings after losing 11 of their past 14 and six of their past seven. Two of those wins were against the historically bad Detroit Pistons, too.

Other parlay picks

Mitchell over 25.5 points (-165): Mitchell has cleared this number in four of his past six games and is averaging 27.2 PPG on the season. He's a walking bucket that's capable of filling the scoresheet at any time, and this is a pretty nice matchup.

The Nets allow the third-most points per game to opposing point guards, according to Fantasy Pros, and rank 24th in defensive rating.

Brooklyn is also poor at defending from deep and allows the seventh-highest opponent 3-point percentage in the NBA (36.9%). Mitchell is averaging 8.9 attempted threes and should clear this total if he continues with that volume.

Claxton under 10.5 rebounds (+100): Claxton has been on a rebounding tear lately, picking up 10-plus boards in six of his past seven games.

But this is a really tough matchup for the 24-year-old centre. You would think Cleveland's rebounding would be an issue with Evan Mobley sidelined, but that's far from the case.

Since Mobley was injured on Dec. 6 the Cavaliers rank first in rebounding rate (52.9%), per NBA.com. They also allow the 10th-fewest rebounds per game to opposing centres.
