New project that prohibits the use of animals in sports with sports betting receives approval from the CCJ
The Commission on Constitution, Justice and Participatory Legislation (CCJ) approved the legality opinion for PL (Bill) 691/2022. The PL prohibits the use of animals in sports activities involving gambling. Councilor Rubinho Nunes (UNIÃO) is against the project. Professor Toninho Vespoli (PSOL) supports the ban. The project has been building since 2018 in the government of President Michel Temer.
The CCJ approved a project that prohibits the use of animals in sports with sports betting. The final essays of three projects were also approved. PL 613/2022 remits IPTU (Urban Territorial Property Tax) credits for social interest housing, PL 670/22 extends the deadline to March 31, 2023 for the participatory review of the Strategic Master Plan and PL 517/21 promotes the Incentive and Awareness Campaign on the importance of preventive practices against Covid-19 and other Respiratory Syndromes.
