New UFC policy prohibits fighters from wagering on promotion's fights. Some states bar athletes from betting on fights in promotions or events with which they are affiliated. Sports betting has become legal in numerous states across the country. Some fighters get paid by betting sponsors for giving their picks on the fights, which will continue to be allowed under the UFC's code of conduct. Fighters will still be able to retain betting sponsor and seek new ones. They will not be banned from being brand ambassadors for such companies.
