NFL suspends Jets assistant Miles Austin for violating league's gambling policy
Miles Austin was suspended for one year by the NFL for betting on table games and non-NFL professional sports. He is appealing the decision. Austin is currently in his third season as a coach. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles. His last job was as an offensive quality control coach with the San Francisco 49ers. The league suspended Calvin Ridley for gambling on NFL games last season. Calvin is expected to return in 2023. New York Jets coach is responsible for developing rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Wilson has 71 catches for 996 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games this season, leading all rookie receivers in receptions and receiving yards.
