NFL Week 12 Predictions, Odds, Spread, & Schedule

The smell of turkey, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings will fill the air as Thanksgiving is just days away. However, feasts aren’t the only thing on the menu this week as Thursday also marks the beginning of the 2023 NFL Week 12 schedule.

There’ll be plenty to be thankful for this week regarding the incoming football action. After all, all 32 NFL teams will be in action over the coming days, bringing many betting opportunities across all 16 matchups.

Fortunately, your weekly betting primer is here to help you. Let’s dive into my NFL Week 12 predictions and the opening odds and early best bets for each of this week’s games.

Bye Week Teams: None

NFL Week 12 Predictions & Odds: Thanksgiving Thursday

Packers vs. Lions Odds

Thanksgiving Thursday kicks off with the second matchup of the year between these NFC North rivals. The Lions got the better of the Packers way back in Week 4, walking out of Lambeau Field with a massive 34-20 victory.

There isn’t a reason to doubt the Lions this time around, either. The Packers are a dismal 0-4 with a minus-2.8 average scoring margin in their last four road games. It’ll only be harder to win in enemy territory due to No. 1 RB Aaron Jones being sidelined with an injury.

Considering how Detroit owns the NFL’s ninth-best average scoring margin at home (plus-9.5), covering the 7.5-point spread shouldn’t be hard for Dan Campbell’s team.

Packers vs. Lions Prediction: DET wins

Packers vs. Lions Best Bet: DET -7.5 (-110)

Commanders vs. Cowboys Odds

The Commanders and Cowboys are more than familiar with Thanksgiving showdowns. The NFC East rivals have clashed 10 times on the annual holiday, resulting in eight victories for Dallas. However, Washington did emerge with a 41-16 victory the last time they met on Turkey Day back in 2020.

There just isn’t a good reason to believe in a Commanders upset this week. Washington has tasted defeated in seven of its last nine games and is coming off a disappointing 12-point loss to the lowly New York Giants.

Having defeated each of their four previous home foes by 20 or more points, I like the Cowboys’ odds of winning in blowout fashion again.

Commanders vs. Cowboys Prediction: DAL wins

Commanders vs. Cowboys Best Bet: DAL -11 (-105)

49ers vs. Seahawks Odds

The 49ers finally look like themselves again, heading into the NFL Week 12 slate searching for a third straight win. Meanwhile, the Seahawks need a rebound showing following a 17-16 loss to the rival LA Rams over the weekend.

While the Seahawks have won four straight games at Lumen Field, all good things must come to an end. All but one of those victories came against teams that are currently below .500 and the one that didn’t came against the Browns, who were without Deshaun Watson in Week 7.

Again, I won’t be surprised if the 49ers cover here. Not only are they 4-2 ATS in their last six games against the Seahawks, but they’ve also covered the spread in 10 of their last 11 divisional matchups.

49ers vs. Seahawks Prediction: SF wins

49ers vs. Seahawks Best Bet: SF -7 (-110)

NFL Week 12 Predictions & Odds: Black Friday

Dolphins vs. Jets Odds

WR Tyreek Hill’s 146-yard performance played a key role in the Dolphins’ 20-13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders over the weekend. On the flip side, the Jets suffered a third consecutive loss, falling 32-6 to the Buffalo Bills on the road.

I won’t overthink this game at all. The Dolphins are legitimate Super Bowl contenders while the Jets are… well, they’re at the point where they just replaced Zach Wilson with Tim Boyle. That’s all you need to know.

Dolphins vs. Jets Prediction: MIA wins

Dolphins vs. Jets Best Bet: MIA -7.5 (-110)

NFL Week 12 Predictions & Odds: Sunday Afternoon

Saints vs. Falcons Odds

Sunday’s NFL Week 12 schedule also includes this pick’em situation. The Falcons are back in action following their bye week, hoping that a date with the Saints will help them prevent their losing streak from reaching four games.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, I don’t see New Orleans winning. The Falcons announced that they’re turning back to QB Desmond Ridder, who hasn’t exactly impressed this season, averaging 193.3 passing yards per contest while throwing for six TDs and six INTs.

On top of that, the Saints are 6-1 in their last seven matchups against the Falcons, outscoring their NFC South rivals by an average of 5.7 points. In other words, New Orleans is the correct pick here.

Saints vs. Falcons Prediction: NO wins

Saints vs. Falcons Best Bet: NO ML (-110)

Steelers vs. Bengals Odds

The Bengals’ outlook instantly became grim once QB Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11. Even though the Steelers have left much to be desired this season, their odds of winning are higher now that they only have to face Jake Browning instead.

I’ll take the Steelers winning in what could wind up being a surprisingly high-scoring affair. After all, the Over is 4-2 in the last six Pittsburgh-Cincinnati matchups, producing an average total of 47.5 points, finishing with more than 34.5 five times.

Furthermore, three of the Steelers’ four road games so far saw more than 34.5 points while each of the Bengals’ last four outings surpassed that number.

Steelers vs. Bengals Prediction: CIN wins

Steelers vs. Bengals Best Bet: o34.5 Total Points (-110)

Panthers vs. Titans Odds

The Panthers are struggling to earn their second win of the year, most recently falling 33-10 to the Dallas Cowboys. Things haven’t been going much better for the Titans, who head into the NFL Week 12 slate on a three-game slide.

I don’t like either of these teams this week, hence why I’m siding with the Under as the best bet. For starters, the Under is 11-3 in the Titans’ last 14 games dating back to the 2022 campaign while also being 6-0 in the Panthers’ six latest November tilts.

Additionally, the total has hit the Under four times in the last six meetings between these teams. Considering how they’re also among the NFL’s five lowest-scoring teams this season, there’s no reason to expect fireworks at Nissan Stadium.

Panthers vs. Titans Prediction: TEN wins

Panthers vs. Titans Best Bet: u37 Total Points (-110)

Buccaneers vs. Colts Odds

Life hasn’t been going well for the Buccaneers, who dropped to 1-5 in their last six games with a 27-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, the Colts are fresh off their bye week and look to extend their winning streak to six games.

Although the Colts aren’t beating the toughest teams lately, they’re in the better spot to win here. The Buccaneers have lost each of their last three road games, allowing 30.0 PPG while being outscored by an average of seven points.

With the Colts’ roster being healthy as the defense has stepped up its play, the home team won’t struggle to win by at least one field goal.

Buccaneers vs. Colts Prediction: IND wins

Buccaneers vs. Colts Best Bet: IND -2.5 (-105)

Patriots vs. Giants Odds

This NFL Week 12 matchup is a reminder that we aren’t getting Tom Brady vs. Eli Manning anymore. The Patriots exemplify this with their three-game skid while the Giants are coming off a rare win, a 31-19 victory over the Commanders.

Even though the Patriots are the favorites, they can’t be trusted at all. Not only have they lost three consecutive games, but they’re also 1-3 with a minus-10.4 average road scoring margin — seventh-worst in the NFL. Regardless of who is under center, the results will be the same for New England.

The Giants are easier to trust as underdogs — especially with how well QB Tommy DeVito looked in Week 11, throwing for 246 yards and three TDs without an interception. Back the underdogs at Metlife.

Patriots vs. Giants Prediction: NYG wins

Patriots vs. Giants Best Bet: NYG +3.5 (-115)

Jaguars vs. Texans Odds

This AFC South collision is yet another pick ‘em situation this week. Despite being the division leaders, the Jaguars could still use some revenge after falling 37-17 to the Texans back in Week 3.

I could see this game going either way. The Jaguars are 6-1 in their last seven games while the Texans are 6-2 in their last eight, mostly due to QB C.J. Stroud’s NFL MVP-level performances. Having said that, Houston has beaten Jacksonville once, and having the home-field advantage this time gives the Texans a good shot of doing it again.

I do like the Over on the 47-point total, though. It’s a number that the Jaguars have surpassed in two of three road games thus far while the Texans’ last three outings saw an average of 56.7 points on the board.

Jaguars vs. Texans Prediction: HOU wins

Jaguars vs. Texans Best Bet: o47 Total Points (-110)

BetDSI 100% Sports Bonus

Before continuing the rest of the NFL Week 12 predictions and preview, you need to check out BetDSI’s sports bonus promotion.

If you use the promo code ‘SPORT100’ when making a deposit, BetDSI will match 100% of that up to $1,000. That means a $100 deposit will leave you with $200 to play with in no time.

The promotion does come with a x20 rollover, though. That means if you have $200 after using the bonus and you won $600 (a total of $800), the rollover multiplier (20x) means you’d need to wager bets adding up to $16,000 before being able to make a withdrawal.

Now, back to the NFL Week 12 predictions and odds…

NFL Week 12 Predictions & Odds: Sunday Afternoon

Browns vs. Broncos Odds

Both of these teams head into this tilt on winning streaks. The Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday to extend their streak to three games while a 21-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings marked the Broncos’ fourth consecutive victory.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Broncos pulled off the upset here. The Browns are a worse team without Deshaun Watson, made evident by their beating the Steelers by just three points. Meanwhile, Dever has wins over Buffalo and Kansas City in its last three outings.

Check back later this week when the odds are upset for the best bet, but right now I’m leaning towards a Broncos victory.

Browns vs. Broncos Prediction: DEN wins

Browns vs. Broncos Best Bet: TBD

Rams vs. Cardinals Odds

Even though the Rams are coming off a 17-16 win over the Seahawks, they still lost star WR Cooper Kupp to an ankle injury. On the flip side, the Cardinals returned to the loss column with a 21-16 loss to the Cardinals.

Aside from Slayton, a pretty solid Fantasy team. Injuries suck.
