Week 16 offers action across the year’s most festive weekend, with a pair of games on tap for Saturday, Dec. 23, 10 contests on Sunday’s Christmas Eve docket, and three Christmas Day tilts on Monday to cap it all off.

Here are our top three games of the week. If you’re shopping around for the online sportsbooks that suit you best, check out our informative review of the top NFL betting sites.

The Detroit Lions got back on track in Week 15 with a comprehensive 42-17 home victory over the Denver Broncos. Jared Goff tossed five touchdown passes in the decisive win, rebounding from a tumultuous period that saw him throw five picks and cough up four fumbles in the previous four contests.

The 10-4 Lions sit comfortably atop the NFC North, with the 7-7 Vikings in second place, a game ahead of the struggling Packers.

The Vikings have lost three of the previous four after winning five in a row. Minnesota’s glaring quarterback issue has cost them of late, with head coach Kevin O’Connell veering away from Josh Dobbs in favor of Nick Mullens, who lost in overtime to the Bengals last week.

At the time of writing, the Lions were 3-point road favorites. The Vikings are 2-4 at home, while the Lions boast a 5-2 road record.

The divisional rivals will meet again to finish off the season on Jan. 7.

The much-maligned Cowboys roadshow continues in South Beach on Christmas Eve when the visitors try to find a way to improve their 3-4 away record against one of the league’s most prolific and dynamic home teams. The Dolphins were unbeaten at home before falling apart in the final minutes against the Titans on Monday night in Week 14.

That 28-27 shock defeat dropped the Dolphins’ home record to 6-1, still the AFC’s best mark. However, none of the Dolphins home victories came against teams with winning records.

The Cowboys were dominated in every facet against the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Week 15, losing 31-10.

The Dolphins are the marginal favorites for a contest that sees two of the best offenses collide. Miami is the league’s top-scoring offense (31.5 points per game), while the Cowboys score 30.8 points per game, the NFL’s second most.

The latest reports out of Miami suggest that Tyreek Hill will play.

The Super Bowl favorites clash in San Francisco on Christmas Day, culminating a compelling week of NFL action. The 49ers have won six straight since the return of DeeBo Samuel and Trent Willams after losing three in a row. Brock Purdy has risen to the top of the MVP favorite list, while Christian McCaffrey’s MVP bid is also gaining momentum.

The Ravens are the AFC’s top team thanks to the fourth-best scoring offense (27.4 points per game) and the fewest points allowed per game (16.1). The 49ers are 5-1 on home turf, allow the second-fewest points per contest (16.7) and score the third-most points per outing (30.4).

The Ravens have won four in a row and, at 6-1, boast the league’s best road record. The 49ers are 5.5-point favorites for the clash of the juggernauts.
