NFL Week 9 Best Bets: Odds, Predictions to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook

Week 9 kicks off early in Germany, and also happens to feature one of my favorite plays of the week. Here’s what I like for bets available on DraftKings Sportsbook this Sunday.

My 2023 NFL betting record entering Week 9 is 39-38-3 (-10.85-units).

I did post a teaser on MNF with the first leg getting through on the Lions. I’ll be pulling for the Saints to close it out on Sunday, but if you missed that teaser, I don’t mind submitting one with the Saints and Browns both teased down.

Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs (9:30am ET in Germany)

KC -2.5 (-120)1.5-units (given out Sunday 10/29)

I laid the 2.5 with the Chiefs before these teams even played last week, and with KC’s ugly loss at Denver, that was a mistake. Can get a better price now, and I’ll gladly add to my favorite NFL play of the week at that price.

I’ve faded the Dolphins on two occasions this season — as a public dog at Buffalo and a public dog at Philly. They lost both games by double-digits. Now, this one isn’t a road game, but it’s not down in Miami either.

The Dolphins simply haven’t beaten many good teams with Tua Tagovailoa at QB since the start of 2022. They have a narrow win over Buffalo and another over Baltimore, but the losses came against the two teams mentioned above earlier this season, and the likes of the Bengals, Niners and Packers with Aaron Rodgers.

Kansas City is one of those elite teams Miami tends to struggle with, and the defense is as good as it’s ever been for the Chiefs. Meanwhile, the bounce-back factor for Patrick Mahomes and company looms after an embarrassing performance in Denver.

New York Giants at Las Vegas Raiders

The WR1 position has dominated the Giants this season, and there couldn’t be a better spot to get in on a Davante Adams bounce-back game.

Opposing WR1 have been tagging the G-Men all season, but let’s just focus on the last four games. Tyreek Hill posted an absurd 8-181-1 line, Stefon Diggs went for 10-100-0 and Terry McLaurin went 6-90-0. Last week, the Giants played the Jets in terrible conditions with pouring rain in a game that featured 24 punts and 23 points — Garrett Wilson finished 7-100-0.

Meanwhile, we have all the changes going on in Las Vegas, including Aidan O’Connell starting at QB. In the once game O’Connell played serious snaps this season, he targeted Adams 13 times, against the Chargers, leading to eight grabs for 75 yards.

Should be a ton of volume here in a good matchup.

Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals

These teams are trending in opposite directions, and while at some point the Bills will be worth betting to turn things around, I don’t feel this is the week. Buffalo is 1-4 ATS in its last five, while the Bengals have turned around a poor start by winning four of their last five.

This isn’t a spot you’ll catch Cincy sleeping after a big win in San Francisco. The Bills certainly have their attention, and the stage will be set on SNF. The Bengals have matched up well with Buffalo in the past, including a 27-10 thumping up in Buffalo in the postseason.
