NHL suspends business with Russian partners, condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine

The NHL is suspending its relationships with business partners in Russia. The league also suspends its Russian language social media sites. It urges a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. Some of the NHL's biggest stars are Russian. The IIHF announced sanctions against Russia and Belarus for near-future international events. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly has reached out to all clubs who have Russian players to offer resources and coordinate responses. He added that the league wants to live in peace.
