Huelgoat won his fourth race in a row over fences in the 2m6½fnovice handicap chase. The ground was good to firm in places and good over hurdles.

Carole's Pass won the novice hurdle at Newmarket. Jack Quinlan is 30 and lives in New Market. He goes to other jockeys' races but is New market born and bred.

Lock Out scored in the 2m½f novice hurdle. Leanne bought him from trainer David Stam and his wife Chris.

Northern Bound won the 2m4f handicap chase. Northern Bound has won seven of his 13 starts over fences.
