CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Expectations for the Cincinnati Reds may be higher locally than nationally. While many fans expect them to contend for the division title with perhaps a run deep into the postseason, oddsmakers don't see much of an improvement ahead compared to last season.

The Cincinnati Reds returned the bulk of their roster that finished 82-80 -- and that was with a patchwork rotation much of the season. The team added Frankie Montas, Nick Martinez, Brent Suter and Emilio Pagán to the staff. Infielder Jeimer Candelario was signed to a multi-year deal to supplement the daily lineup.

Yet, the website Betonline.ag has set the Reds' win total at 81 1/2 this coming season. That's third in the NL Central Division behind the Chicago Cubs (84 1/2) and St. Louis Cardinals (84 1/2). It's tied for No. 16 in all of MLB.

The over/under for the Los Angeles Dodgers was set at 103 1/2, the highest overall. The Oakland Athletics are expected to be the worst team with a 57 1/2 win total. They had 50 last season.

The 2003 Detroit Tigers recorded the fewest wins among teams to ever play 162 games; they went 43-119 that season.

Here is the win totals for each team from highest to lowest (win totals are subject to change leading up to the season due to injuries, performance, public action, etc., and here is the link to the most up-to-date lines):
