Nuggets: Drake was so lucky to make over $2 million on NBA title bets

At this rate, it’s probably time to stop referencing the “Drake Curse.”

There was a time when the rapper’s bets/positive feelings about a team in a big moment meant they would face certain doom. But then his Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA title. Then he thought the Rams would win Super Bowl 56. And then he went all-in on the Chiefs winning their second Super Bowl in four years.

Now, with Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets standing at the top of the NBA world, you guessed correctly — Drake called the final result. And it paid off for him in a very lucrative way. Between two separate bets — the correct series score and the eventual winner — the rapper had $1.25 million riding on the Nuggets dispatching the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

He ended up netting over $2 million (!) on Denver’s first-ever NBA championship.

If Drake really thought “Nuggets in 5,” — not a bad prospect, honestly! — was worth betting over seven figures; maybe he’s onto something. Maybe he knows a little more about professional sports than we like to joke about.

Let’s just see what Drake’s crystal ball thinks about a Nuggets repeat in store down the line.
