Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. believes 'offense should be on autopilot'

Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. believes that the team's performance on the court is just as important as the offensive play. The 24-year-old signed a five-season, $179.29 million contract with Denver last September. A total of $17 million is guaranteed if he earns an All-Star selection between 2021-22 through the 2025-26 seasons.

Michael Porter Jr. scored the game-winning 3-pointer in the final minute of the Denver Nuggets' 98-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Bones Hyland scored a career-high 29 points. Porter finished with 14 points in 31 minutes of action. The forward is improving his defensive game, but he still needs to improve his consistency. Denver ranks 13th in league in scoring and 16th on defense.
