Before the All-Star break, the Rockies ended up getting beaten by the San Francisco Giants in two out of their three-game series. When looking at the Colorado Rockies standings, it’s easy to see why this team is in last place in the National League West. Their MLB stats haven’t been impressive, as they come in at 3-7 in their last 10 games.

However, similar to the Yankees, the Rockies have an opportunity to turn this thing around, and that’s what they’re hoping that they can do in the second half of the season. They might be better than their record indicates, but they have to prove that if they want to be the team that they’re hoping to be. It’s always tough to take them with our MLB picks, and given their track record, it could be a good idea to fade them once again.

The Yankees didn’t play much better heading into the All-Star break, and that’s why they currently sit eight games behind the first-place Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East. The New York Yankees roster has been filled with players on the MLB injury report, and if they can’t figure that out sometime soon, this is going to be a lost season for New York. They ended up losing a series to the Chicago Cubs, which should never happen for a team like the Yankees.

With the trade deadline coming soon, it’s expected that the Yankees are going to be aggressive and try to figure this thing out. We could see a few different players on their roster, but either way, this is one of the easier games on the Yankees MLB schedule, and they need to figure a way to get the job done.

Austin Gomber will get the start for Colorado, and that should be somewhat good news for the Yankees. Despite the Yankees struggling on the offensive side of baseball this season, he’s been one of the worst pitchers in the league this year.

Although this game is going to be played in Colorado, the Yankees should still feel confident that they have a chance to win this game with somewhat ease.

The New York Yankees are going to be throwing Carlos Rodon, and he’s arguably going to be the biggest player in the second half for New York. He didn’t get to throw much in the first half of the season, throwing in just one game against the Chicago Cubs as he dealt with some back injuries throughout the year’s first half. If he’s going to be the ace that the Yankees are expecting him to be, they’re going to find themselves in a good position. A 1-2 punch of him and Gerrit Cole should set this team up nicely in the second half of the season.

There are a few updates for the New York Yankees, and the biggest one is always going to be Aaron Judge. Until he returns to the Yankees, they’re going to have a tough time doing what they typically do on the offensive side of the baseball.
