$542 million in taxes has been collected in New York since mobile sports gambling became available in the state. An additional $200 million has also been generated from licensing fees. Most of the money has gone to education. MLB has taken in $2.6 billion since Jan. 8, NBA $ 2.5 billion, NFL $1.3 billion and college football $406 million. The average number of transactions on Sundays since the start of pro football mobile betting is 5.7 million since start. The state Gaming Commission will issue a request for proposals to license a sports operator or platform to offer mobile sport betting.
