The Oakland A's are looking forward to the 2021 season. They are still in contention for a fourth consecutive postseason berth. The team is undergoing roster renovations. Their starting pitchers are Chris Bassitt, Sean Manaea, Jesus Luzardo, and Frankie Montas. The offense is going to be better with Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, Mark Canha, Ramon Laureano and Stephen Piscotty.
Opposing scouts predict that the Oakland A's will be good again. They have a great defense, good pitching, a lot of big arms in the bullpen and good players. Matt Chapman had a hip surgery. Mark Canha is a foodie. He has an Instagram page dedicated to his interests in food. He recommends Mexican food in Chicago and Thai food on road trips.
The Oakland A's and Vermont Lake Monsters have broken up. The A’s have had a relationship with the Lake Monster for the last decade. Billy Beane is waiting to see if RedBall is successfully merged with Fenway Sports Group. Beana is a minority owner of a couple of European clubs. Tony Kemp and Mike Yastrzemski were named the 2020 winners of the Bill Rigney Good Guy Award for Oakland and San Francisco. Art Howe came down with COVID-19 in June. He spent a week in the hospital, but he came out of it healthy.
