TOTTENHAM are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Celtic star Reo Hatate.

That's the view of bookmakers Coral, who price a reunion with Ange Postecoglou this summer at just 9/4.

The Japanese international has been a standout performer in the Celtic side since his move from Kawasaki Frontale 18 months ago.

Alongside countrymen Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda, Hatate has been a real success story and shown the incredible recruitment strategy of former boss Postecoglou.

But it is that strategy which could see him join the Aussie in North London, with Maeda and Kyogo having recently penned long-term deals to remain in Glasgow.

Hatate still has three years left on his Parkhead contract, though, so it's likely a Scottish record transfer fee would be needed to lure him away.

A similar offer was accepted recently to allow Jota to leave for Saudi Arabia and a move to the gulf state was recently categorically ruled out by the player's agent.

But that option remains in the betting market as the next best option at 6/1.

Brighton have been long-linked with a move for the 25-year-old and with European football to come are looking to add reinforcements.

They're 7/1 to sign Hatate, ahead of Brentford and Serie A champions Napoli at 12/1.

Hatate has 13 goals and 14 assists from his 66 Celtic appearances, winning four trophies along the way.

He was also named in the PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year last season, too.
