Oilers same-game parlay predictions vs. Kraken Nov. 11: Bet on Seattle to win and the over

The Edmonton Oilers look to turn things around on the road against the Seattle Kraken.

The pregame narrative: Edmonton's struggles give me little reason to back it as a road favourite. Instead, I'm betting on Seattle to win as a home underdog. The over will certainly be in play with both power plays entering a plus matchup and that should put Eeli Tolvanen in prime position to shine.

Same-game parlay Oilers predictions

Parlay: Kraken moneyline + Over 5.5 goals + Tolvanen to score 1+ points (+360)

Kraken moneyline (+100): It's really hard to get behind Edmonton as a road favourite.

The Oilers enter play with an embarrassing 2-9-1 record and are coming off a loss to the lowly San Jose Sharks. Goaltending continues to be a major problem as they own the worst team save percentage (.860) in the NHL.

Seattle is improving as the season rolls along. It has won three of its last five games, scoring victories over top teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche.

The Kraken's offence is ascending as it has scored three-plus goals in five consecutive games. The Oilers, meanwhile, have scored two or fewer in each of their last three.

Other parlay picks

Over 5.5 goals (-220): Both power plays should be effective and that'll likely lead to plenty of goals.

Seattle's power play ranks seventh in the NHL (26.2%) and is battling an Edmonton penalty kill that sits 30th (70.2%) in the league.

The same is true for the Oilers, too, as they're tied for ninth on the PP (23.3%). The Kraken have been almost as bad as them on the PK, slotting in at 29th (72.5%) when down a man.

The over on this total has come through in each of Seattle's last five games and four of Edmonton's last five.

Tolvanen to score 1+ points (+117): As Seattle's offence heats up, so does Tolvanen.

The winger has a point in five of his last six games, totalling six points during this stretch. He's been very involved offensively over this time with 18 shots on goal.

Two of his six points during this run have come on the power play and he'll be a threat to capitalize on the man advantage given the matchup.

Tolvanen logged 17:40 in time on ice in his most recent outing which is the most he's played in any game this season.
