'One of the craziest days of my life:' Chris Wilder looks back on Sheffield United's promotion at Leicester

Dave Bassett's team won promotion from Division Three the previous year. Sheffield Wednesday were relegated on the same day. Basset managed to put together a special team with very little funds. He was promoted to the Premier League in 2016. He still sees Geoff Taylor and Derek French. Martin Pike survived the cull when Bassert got relegated. Mark Todd and Brian Smith were also promoted. They were all part of the team that won the promotion. The journey back was brilliant. It wasn't long enough. Billy Wilder's current season in the top flight is going well. His team would have been tipped to be in a battle to stay up at the start of it.
